Her voice carried an unsettling calmness, a bitterness that resonated with clenched fists, as if she were on the verge of throwing a punch any moment. It was evident that she was dead serious, and her sole focus was to determine if I was a spy, just like her.

"I'm not obligated to explain my identity to you," I responded firmly, matching her sternness. I couldn't rule out the possibility of this being a setup, perhaps orchestrated by Ben, Rickie, or even Cedric himself. Trusting any of them was out of the question.

She scoffed, her expression morphing into one of a child about to issue threats, confident that she could carry them out effortlessly.
