We didn't encounter the gammas who typically guarded Cedric's chambers, as we had taken a different route—one that I was not familiar with. It appeared to be a concealed path, possibly a back entrance, although I was well-versed in the palace's layout.

I had initially assumed that we would reach our destination in no time, but the journey was taking longer than expected, prompting me to halt and seek answers.

"Where are you taking me?" I inquired, not out of fear but out of a genuine need for information and understanding.
