How did Darren go from expecting good things to having to practically sealing his soul with the devil? How did Darren go from thinking Hugo is as flirty and shameless as Tim to having to see him as the control freak that he is?

How did Darren go from thinking Hugo will be taking up his case because he is a lawyer and should help people who are in need to knowing Hugo would like to have a deal? No deal then no lawyer to represent him.
