Inside the Church's mansion, Kael sat with a relaxed smile as he watched Jacquelyn rip her dress and walk over to the couch opposite him. Behind her were Stillwort, Julia, and the twins.

With her leg crossed, Jacquelyn twirled her hair between her fingers. "It's a very simple tale and a happy ending too," she chuckled, pushing her head back in laughter.

"What is Lyn talking about?" Iva's voice was laced with both confusion and fear, yet it was nothing compared to the horror on Griselda's face. The woman was yet to recover from what she had just witnessed.

Jacquelyn sucked her teeth. "I don't like that Kael isn't surprised. Ugh! I hate it... I wanted to see the look on his face when I finally returned," she pushed her shoulders forward, then smiled. Then she moved her eyes away from Kael and settled them on the shocked faces standing behind him.
