Bab 70: Hornvein: Impending Finale III

As the whirlwinds subsided, Atticus fell to the ground hard, his entire body charred due to the lightning. 

"Ah...." He said as he slowly got up, patting his jacket with his free hand, "Interesting...." 

Brodin narrowed his eyes, "He's not taking that much damage?" 

"Damage Mitigation Seals." Michael said as he exhaled a small cloud of smoke, "He's covered in Sealing Sorcery. I'm assuming that it's to build his defenses. But it's strange, I wonder what the effect will be." 

Atticus smiled, "Allow me to demonstrate that." He said as he lifted his arm, "I must say, you are quite the skilled Sorcerer, but I don't think it'll be enough to defeat me."

As his hand began to glow with bright red runes, Atticus's knife erupted with blood that was mixed with flames. 

Brodin readied a stance, "This isn't good." He said, "That's a lot more ether than before. I really don't remember him using that Sorcery." 

"You knew him?" Michael asked
