Bab 45: Unbreakable Oath

"Come forth", Ling muttered, putting the ring close to his lips as if it had ears to hear him.

The assassin emerged from Ling's ring. As that happened, Ling shot a dart that found its destination in the assassin's neck, piercing him through his black mask.

The man's hand flew to his neck. But before his hands could reach the dart, he froze, unable to move anymore.

His eyes widened... it appeared like they were about to pop out of their sockets.

"I got you", Ling said... his face straight. Ling knew that this was no ordinary man.

[He must have been specially trained. I must be careful], Ling thought.

The assassin tried to use everything in his arsenal to free himself, but all his efforts proved futile. He still didn't give up.

Ling could tell that the man was trying his best because his eyes had become so red like his head was about to explode.
