Bab 342: Results Of Anguish - 1

Greta's hands were limp and lay in front of her between her folded thighs. Her vision had blurred as tears poured down from a reserve she didn't know she had. All she could see with her mind's eyes was Anthony's handsome face. The moments they had spent in the forest, running and hiding from the people searching for the queen came rushing back to the forefront of her thought. The way Anthony had looked out for her – protected everyone but himself made her stomach churn with such pain that she doubled over, hugging herself tightly with her arms.

Greta let out a loud wail, throwing her head backward. 

The servants present in Ruby's chambers all looked at each other, not knowing what had happened but they could all feel the sadness through the shout the head maiden had just let out. It was painful. It was sad. It was a lamentation.
