"Retract your bloodline power!" The snakemen queen struggled to get up and urged her anxiously.

Little Qing'er's face was filled with panic. What should have been a simple action now felt like it required all the strength in her body.

Retracting her hand would involve breaking the connection to her bloodline power first. Otherwise, she would suffer a backlash.

As she had only recently awakened her bloodline, she couldn't easily control her bloodline power. To retract it smoothly, she needed to concentrate.

"Don't panic!" the queen noticed her struggle and, despite her anxiety, adopted a calming tone to reassure her.

"Alright!" Little Qing'er took a deep breath and nodded.

She was about to close her eyes, making an effort to control her bloodline power.

Suddenly, a hand was placed on her slightly tender shoulder.

The hand was large and exuded a comforting warmth.

"Don't be afraid."
