Near the edge of the 20th exit, the café was regularly visited by the students of the academy no matter the season.
As people come and go, they could see a table for four occupied by three students just by the rectangular service table.
It seemed like all three were here to party. The students were Ciobara, Asa, and Yaseang and they were here to dine in celebration of Asa's advancement.
"It's my treat so order whatever the hell you want" Yaseang exclaimed while calling a maid over.
You can order either by calling a maid or directly at the café counter. Most students prefer to order at the counter because you would need to pay 10 extra credits by ordering through a maid.
Although noble freshmen were splurging by ordering it this way, they only had three months left until credits reset and no more availability of currency to credit exchange.
"I will take my usual," Ciobara said with indifference
"one today's special and one steak with grade 2 beast meat and a resialle juice," Asa ordered without holding back.
"Add another steak with kelkera toppings, a resialle juice, and bring me the inferno bread," Yaseang gave his student card to the maid after finishing his order.
"Your order will arrive in ten minutes," the maid responded after noting their order she went back to her seat after placing their order on the service table which disappeared immediately after she applied mana in a certain way.
"When are you gonna advance or are you staying tier 2 longer? Wait what's your rank I never asked that before" Asa excitedly asked Ciobara she wanted her friend to advance as well.
"My mana control is still lacking I won't advance until I have it reach a satisfying level" Ciobara answered her friend with confidence.
"Low mana control? I thought you were a monster in that already," Yaseang almost shouted, "like you already teaching us how to do this stuff"
"Teaching is different, my mana control is worse than a tier 1 mage," emphasizing her point she changed the topic, "Anyway, we are here to celebrate Asa's advancement so let's do that"
The small talk continued and the order arrived. Their celebration continued for hours.
"I'll return to the dorm see you later," Asa said
"There is still time so I'll go to the library," Ciobara said goodbye as well
"I need to train my sword so I will be in the training area, call me if you need me" Yaseang also said his goodbye
Like this, all three of them separated and went their own way.
Asa headed to the dorms, thinking about what type was her little golden. She was very curious about what this little pixie could do as she had heard many of the students wanted a pixie.
Students that wished to get a pixie were so enthusiastic that it looked like getting a pixie was the same as getting a dragon.
But students who got it did not get the same response as Yaseang or the boy who got a baby dragon.
"Student, you look troubled", Ms. Amelia who just took a turn asked her student with concern.
"I wanted to go to library to find more about my familiar but today it's my turn to tidy up the room, I'm really curious about my pixie" Asa sighed while pixie came out and circled Ms. Amelia once before returning to Asa.
'Strange when I was introducing my friends pixie was trying its best to hide and now it's out as if not bit afraid of a stranger. It seems Prisa also likes Ms. Amelia.'
"How about I tell you while we walk toward the dorms?" Ms. Amelia asked with a smile.
"Really? Thanks mam," Asa gleefully expressed her enthusiasm
"A golden pixie is a light elemental spirit which mostly uses healing and support spells. It's one of the best familiars you could get." Ms. Amelia kindly explained.
Asa felt enlightened at her words, she knew it, Ms. Amelia was the best after all. Now she had her answer she loved Prisa even more.
"Did you happen to choose your mentor already?" Ms. Amelia asked.
"No, all teachers were busy with the boys no one noticed me. I just came out of there after waiting for a bit," Asa replied.
"Would you take me as your mentor in that case?" Ms. Amelia asked her.
"I would love it," with a lightning-fast answer she accepted the offer.
Meanwhile, Ciobara reached the library today she wanted to go over the monster index once more.
She didn't find the annoying bear-boy here, went to a rack, and picked the book to go over this one. The book contained information about the sentient races, although she wanted to read the monster index this book interested her.
Trifon had many more races than her old world which contained very few sentient races: Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Demons, Vampires, The undead, and 4 magical monsters.
But here it was different, the book categorized sentient races by different types: The prime races, beastmen, avian, spirits, oceanic, sentient monsters, undead, devils, and demons.
The prime races were the ones humans encountered at the beginning of time and were mostly non-dark and evil as a whole though that might have changed in current times.
These races include humans, elves, and dwarves.
Beastmen are the races that resulted from inter-racial intercourse between primal races and beast-type monsters or animals.
Only cat-humans and other such small beast beastmen had a mysterious origin as they couldn't be the result of intercourse because of their small size.
These included cat-humans, wolfmen, fox-tribe, lion-tribe, bear-tribe, and many more such races.
Avian races were born in a similar way to beastmen or result of some magical phenomenon. This category of races included Fairies, Harpies or Bird-men, Angels, and the Dragons.
Among them, only Angles and Fairies were not born as a result of intercourse. The first was created by the gods to serve them and the latter's origin was unknown.
Dragons although categorized as avians were also part of the monster index. They are one of the original monsters that exist in Trifon.
They are one of the avian monsters that gained sentience without having intercourse with the primal races. It is said dragons were born when a certain god was having suicidal thoughts.
That god did die to one of the dragons, this happened on the day he married the goddess he loved.
Spirits were an interesting category as they are mostly the lifeforms that are born from nature with no involvement of sexual intercourse.
Pixies, Nymphs, Elementals, Artifact-Incarnations, Dryads, and many such races were included in this category.
The sheer number of races living here made the world much more interesting. She could smell the possibilities such diversity would present her.
'I thought this world had too many monsters now that I read about sentient races it seems they are just as many as the monsters.'
'But still, there is no mention of a vampire existing. It could be either this continent does not have access to that knowledge or they really did not exist before me,' Ciobara went into deep thought while reading all the race categories.
'Library would be closing soon, I'll read up more books just to confirm my theory. Sun would be setting soon time to act has arrived.'
She left the library and climbed its roof and waited for the blanket of darkness to cover the night.
'I wonder if the taste of human blood is also different in this world,' her eyes turned crimson at the thought, and the bat mark was now in sight.
Looking at her prey she left the library roof and tailed the boy. After a little while, she noticed him entering a dark alley.
'Well, that was easy I didn't even have to make him go to an alley with my charm skill,' noticing one of the bullies enter an alleyway in academy city.
