Bab 6: 6 Choices and Its Consequences
Dr. Khurana seeing Veer confused said smilingly, "Our films and stories are also somehow connected to our real life, Veer and now even science has accepted that aliens exist. Well, forget it, now I will tell you how this thing is related to you."
And then Veer starts listening to him attentively.
"For the last few years, our agency has been running a secret mission on the planet Genesis, which we scientists call the realm of Genesis, where every year we send some people to the planet Genesis. Actually, we believe that this planet or realm must have been a battlefield at some point of time because on that planet we found the remains of many old rusted primitive weapons, that too along with the remains of living beings, but the creatures whose remains we found were creatures we had never seen before and perhaps never imagined that they would ever exist in reality or perhaps still exist. And the energy of that years or centuries old war that took place there is still present, due to which the development there is still in its first stage and the people there have not yet been able to fully develop and that is why there are many people there who are neither fully human nor fully animal, meaning some parts of their body are like humans but their actions and mind are like animals and along with this there are some animals there as well. Due to this energy which must have been the result of that war, they evolve and take a very dangerous and frightening form. Such people and animals are a threat to the people of that planet who are fully developed and whose intelligence is also like us, but along with those people, such animals can also become a threat to our people and Earth and that is why every year we send some people from our planet i.e. Earth to Genesis Planet so that they can eliminate the threat coming towards Earth there itself. This telephone booth is the portal to go to that planet."
Veer is surprised, amazed, and a little confused to hear all this information and he is still not able to believe these things and to clear his confusion, he asks a question, "Uncle, when there is so much danger on that planet, then why do people go there, huh?"
Khurana smiles and says, "To earn money and gain power. "
Veer gets pleasantly surprised and asks, "How much money can people make there?"
"Unlimited. You understand, unlimited. " Khurana says happily in such a way that Veer is convinced that his money problems can be solved by going to Genesis house.
Veer starts thinking and seeing him Khurana also realizes that Veer is thinking about Genesis. Khurana immediately puts a stop to Veer's dreams and says, "No-no, but you cannot go there so don't even think about it."
Veer is surprised but before he can say anything Khurana again says, "Look son, you are the son of my best friend so you are like a son to me too so I cannot put your life in danger. You go home and find some other way to raise money." Saying this Dr. Khurana asks Veer to go out of his lab.
Although Veer leaves for home but Dr. Khurana's words were going around in his mind like a science fiction but at the same time he is also regretful that he could not raise money for his family. As soon as Veer reaches home, he sees that his family has not been able to raise money. His gang of loafers is waiting for him outside and he understands that they will question him about yesterday's incident, and he will be embarrassed.
So as soon as he meets his friends, he himself starts telling them the whole story of how his father paid off the amount of financial fraud committed by the bank from the funds available in his company account and personal account when the owner of the bank, who was once his father's classmate, asked for help, due to which he got into trouble with Star Group and after this, problems started arising for our company one after the other from nowhere and slowly the company started going into loss, so father again took a loan from the same bank by mortgaging our house. But I don't know who had such enmity with us that they got my father killed and portrayed it as an accident. And after father's death, the employees and agents of the same bank come every month and ask us for money and talk all sorts of things about my mother and my younger sister.
Hearing this, Veer's friends show sympathy to him.
The newly grown-up boys have a lot of anger in their blood but less brain. With the same brain his friends advise Veer that Veer should go to the bank manager's house and steal the property papers if the manager keeps those papers with him at his home. After that, be it the manager or the agent or their father, no one will be able to take any legal action against them for vacating the house and he will not have to pay 3 crores. After all Veer is also of the same age so he likes this idea, and he makes sure that tomorrow night he will go to the manager's house to steal the house papers.
Next Day, Before Dusk
Veer and his two rowdy friends are waiting for everyone to go to sleep, hiding in the bushes next to the bank manager's house as per the plan. The boys who consider pop culture to be reality had made a complete James Bond-like plan that as soon as the lights go off, Veer will cross the boundary and go inside, then climb the pipe to the roof window, open the window and go under, then steal the papers from the safe and then run away.
But life is a little different from James Bond movies, then the lights go off and Veer, thinking himself to be James Bond, crosses the boundary and then tries to climb up the pipe, but it is not that easy. Soon he realizes that James Bond looks very wrong in the movies. The poor guy somehow climbs up the pipe to the roof, suffering many cuts and scratches, and as soon as he tries to open the window and go under, the security alarm rings. The silence of the night is filled with noise, all the lights go on, Veer looks towards his friends for support, but they had disappeared as soon as the alarm rang and left Veer hanging in the air, just then the manager and some security guards with him come out and Veer is caught red handed.
Soon the police had arrived and were about to arrest Veer on the charge of theft when the manager called his colleagues (Agents) who live nearby. Veer's condition was worse than that of thorns and he was afraid that his mother might come to know.
"Hey kid, what did you think, that we will let you swallow our 3 crores so easily." The manager scolded.
"And you were boasting that you will throw 3 crores in our face in 1 month, what happened, all your arrogance has gone, huh, call his mother, after all she should also know what her son is doing." An agent roared.
"No, don't call mom" Veer pleaded "If mom finds out, she will be devastated", hearing this, both the manager and the agent rolled their eyes and then said to Veer "Look, boy, we will let you go and will also take back the theft charges but you will have to convince your mother and get that house transferred to our name. Understood? You are smart, right? You understand what we are saying?" They all say together in a loving and threatening tone.
"And if that house is not transferred to our name, then remember that old houses catch fire very easily." The agent threatened so much that Veer's very existence was shaken. Veer realized how terrible the consequences of his small mistake committed in impulse could be.
Now it was not just about money but also about the safety of his mother and sister because these greedy people can stoop to any level to get that house.
