Bab 68: Before the wedding

Several days have passed...

I decided not to tell My mother about my meeting with my father a few days ago, thinking it would only make her worry, and then her condition worsened... I didn't want that to happen, especially now that she was calm and occasionally helping Uncle in developing the bar after Charlie's people came pretending to be an investor. Yeah, sometimes I feel guilty for doing this with lies, but it's better than us continuing to suffer.

As for Kate, I haven't communicated with her anymore, not because I'm distancing myself, but because she hasn't replied to my messages or calls. Roger also seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth; we haven't met again, but I don't have enough space in my mind to think about them because I'm busy with Sandra preparing for Mr. Benjamin and Freya's wedding.
