Bab 111: Bad news

Drett... Drett... Drett... Drett...

The continuous ringing of my phone finally forced me to open my eyes and grab around me until I found my phone. I answered the call without checking who it was.

"Hello?"

"Can I come to the hotel at eight?" The voice was familiar; I was sure it was Kate. Yes, it had to be her because we had planned to meet last night.

I shifted, glancing at Charlie sleeping beside me, covered only waist-down with a bare chest, his breathing calm, and a faint snore.

"Angel?"

"Oh, yes..." I refocused on the phone. "Kate... um, you can come whenever. I'll shower now."

"Hmm... See you later..."

The call ended; I tossed my phone somewhere and closed my eyes again, still very sleepy, as if wanting to sleep all day.

Slowly, I felt Charlie move. I glanced at him as he shifted his position, pulling me closer while nuzzling his head closer to mine.
