Bab 26: Breaking Boundaries

Bruno straightened up, his eyes never leaving mine as he paced around me. I could feel the weight of his gaze on me, could feel the power he held in that moment. 

Although a part of me wanted to shrink back, to apologize, there was another part of me that was thrilled by it all. The danger, the unpredictability—it made my blood rush faster through my veins.

"I'm going to punish you," Bruno said, his voice low and deliberate. "And when I'm done, you'll think twice before trying to pull another stunt like this."

My breath hitched, my body tensing as the weight of his words hung in the air between us. 

I didn't know what he meant, what kind of punishment he had in mind, but the look in his eyes told me it wouldn't be something I could easily forget.
