She looked around one more time and decided to give up. It was already past the time she had told Kieran she would be back. 

"Clarissa, since you can't find the boy, perhaps we should head back."

She looked back at the woman. "No, I'll just buy from her instead."

At least this would help feed a family tonight.

She walked up to the lady who was a middle aged vampire. "How much do you sell your jewelry?"

The lady's eyes brightened with happiness. "Just 3 gold coins."

"They are quite cheap."

"It's because they are not real stones." she explained. 

"Fine then. Let me see what you have."

She showed her the different ones, pointing out the ones that suited Clarissa best. Then she came across a particular white pendant shaped like a half moon that glowed like it had light trapped in it. "My lady, perhaps you should try this on."
