The background seemed like zooming out just from the speed Azrael displayed. But it was more likely because his eyes were only focused on the front, and the noises entering his ears were defeated by the loud thumping of his heart.

His steps were doubled the size of his normal ones, and when the lift didn't cooperate with him, closing in just before he reached it, he did not hesitate to climb the stairs. Their unit was on the twentieth floor, and it was stupid enough to choose that way, but his head was no longer working properly.

His brain was clouded with fear that something bad might happen again to Knox.

How could he be so stupid?! He should have not left him alone! He trusted the security too much but didn't consider that those people might imitate what he did – purchasing a unit under someone else's name.
