Meanwhile, the selection in the Dark Abyss continued, despite the absence of their queen. The monsters continued to fight with one another, proving their strength and prowess. However, it was already expected that the current seven guardians of the labyrinth would be able to keep their seats.

The Unseelie Fae King rushed into the throne room, seeing everyone had already arrived before him. His expression was as cold as a frozen winter lake, annoyance burned into his eyes. A black cape was draped over his shoulder, and to his side, hung a black-bladed sword which can only be wielded by the Unseelie King and Queen of the Court of Moonlight.

Zephyr grumbled something incoherent to himself and took his seat, sensing that the other guardians didn't suffer any injuries from the recent selection. He had already expected that something like this would happen.
