Bab 96: Back in Aisgarth (2)

How long had she been in deep sleep this time? Iris wasn't sure. This was the second time in this month that she fell into deep slumber due to excessive use of magic. She wondered how long it would take for her body to get used to it.

However, from the moment she cracked her eyes open, realizing that she was back on her massive bed in her chambers, she immediately sensed that someone was watching her. She turned her head and saw Lord Kieran seated on an armchair near her bed. Was he waiting for her to wake up to chastise her for her recent actions?

"Lord Kieran…" She called him out in almost a whisper.

Memories flashed through her mind, reminding her of their encounter with an Elder Lich and how Marcus came to her rescue. She wondered if her new friend managed to escape alive and was able to return to Greydale Town with Ali.
