Alicia went about her days as usual and did everything to take her mind off Braxton. She works on files that she normally doesn't even look at and engages in meetings that don't concern her just to take her mind off things she doesn't want to think about.

She was getting ready to call it a day when her office phone started ringing.

She grabbed it from her desk and placed it against her ear.

"Alicia Young speaking." She said,

"Alicia," She closed her eyes immediately and she heard the voice behind the phone call.

This is one of the rare moments when her mother calls her on the phone or even talks to her.

"What do I owe for this surprise call this evening, mother dearest?" She asked.

Sebastian didn't just walk away from her life, he also destroyed her relationship with her parents.
