"Mr. Baker, the SAT scores are out. Have you checked them?"
As Link was leaving Link Music, a young man dressed as a reporter, holding a camera, ran out from the opposite cafe and blocked his way.
Link leaned against the car door and asked, "The SAT scores are out?"
"Yes, they came out yesterday. Mr. Baker, why don't you check them now?" the young man smiled.
Link smiled slightly. He had been busy filming these days and had forgotten about the exam. He took out his phone and called Anna, asking her to check the scores on the computer.
"Link, guess how many points you got?"
Anna asked in a cheerful tone.
"Did I get 1000 points? If not, don't say it. I have a reporter here."
"1360 points!"
"1360 points? How could I get such a high score?"
Link asked in surprise.
Anna smiled and explained to him that he almost got full marks in reading and grammar, almost full marks in the third part of math with a calculator, and only lost a lot of points in the last part.
Link was very satisfied with this score. Although it wasn't a perfect score, it was still good. The more than twenty sets of simulated real questions he had done weren't in vain.
"Mr. Baker, you got 1360 points?"
The reporter asked quickly.
"Yes!"
"Mr. Baker, congratulations! Will you continue to go to college?"
"I'm still considering it. I'll have my agency issue an announcement when I make a decision."
Link responded and waved as he got into the car.
Before he could return to his Yorkville apartment, Yahoo News had already reported on his SAT score, saying that he could still get 1360 points while working and studying, and that he was a hidden academic talent, suggesting that teenagers should learn from him.
Then Link's phone started ringing off the hook. The first call was from Taylor, asking if he really got 1360 points.
"Of course, I'm a public figure. I can't just make up a score to fool the public."
Link said as he opened the door while talking on the phone.
"Honey, you're amazing. You can get such a high score just by doing a few practice tests. You said I should also take the SAT, how many points do you think I can get?"
Taylor asked.
"Definitely higher than mine. You're so smart, the SAT is so easy for you!"
"Humph, such sweet talk. Are you cheating on me behind my back?"
"Haha, how is that possible? I just got off the plane, what could I be cheating on you with?"
Link wiped away some sweat, secretly praising Taylor for her sharp mind. Maybe she had a sixth sense. In the future, it would be best to avoid situations like the one with Amy Adams.
"That's not necessarily true. Last time I just went shopping, and you made a hit MV. In New York for half a day, you could have gone on ten dates."
"Stop joking. Why don't you come to New York too? I just got into my apartment, and it's quite lonely by myself."
"In a few days. I have a lot of work these days."
"Alright!"
Link then asked about her work. Big Machine Records was still promoting Taylor's second album, "Fearless."
In March, as Mercedes-Benz chose "Dream It Possible" as their advertising song, and UNICEF also used it as their official promotional song, the song once again topped the Billboard singles chart and stayed on the chart for 22 weeks.
The third promotional single, "You Belong with Me," also topped the Billboard Radio Songs chart last week with a record 117 million listener requests and remained at number one for two consecutive weeks.
Taylor was also the first female singer to top the Billboard Radio Songs chart with a country music single.
The album "Fearless" had sold over 8 million copies worldwide and was expected to surpass 10 million copies this year.
As the album continued to sell well, Taylor's work schedule became even busier. She was currently in Nashville, participating in the Country Music Festival.
After chatting for a while, he just hung up the phone when Ivanka called, also asking about the exam.
"Link, did you cheat?"
Ivanka asked directly.
"Cheat on the SAT? I could get over 1300 points even with my eyes closed. Actually, I admire some people who have studied in school for seven or eight years and take the exam very seriously, but only get a little over 1000 points. That's more difficult than what I did."
"Link Baker! What are you talking about?!"
Ivanka's voice was cold on the other end of the phone, as if she was gritting her teeth.
Link felt a chill down his spine. Remembering the methods she used to deal with Kanye and the others last time, he decided it was best not to offend her.
"Ivanka, I was just kidding."
"Humph, Graeme just called and said you wrote more than ten good songs, similar to 'Give Me Everything,' that could be made into a separate album. Since you have so many good songs, why didn't you take them out before, and I had to keep urging you?"
"Ivanka, writing songs takes time. It's not like I wrote them and didn't give them to you."
Link quickly explained.
"One more thing, I recently took a fancy to two singers. Come over when you have time and we'll check them out together."
"Really? Just sign them if you like them. You have excellent taste, I trust you."
"Just come when I tell you to, don't be so wordy."
"Alright!"
Link heard that she hadn't hung up yet, so he asked, "Ivanka, you seem to be in a bad mood. What happened?"
Ivanka snorted softly through her nose and said in a seductive voice, "A man is pursuing me, but I don't want to get entangled with him. What do you think I should do?"
Link recalled the many wealthy young men at the party that time. "Do you need me to be your shield?"
Ivanka was silent for a while. "Forget it, I can handle this myself. You just focus on your work and don't mess around outside. I can arrange women for you if you need them."
"Uh, I'm not messing around."
"You better not be."
Ivanka rudely hung up the phone again.
Link wiped his forehead, feeling helpless. He was an Olympic champion, a world boxing champion, a popular singer, and a soon-to-be billionaire, yet he still got nervous and sweaty when talking to a woman on the phone.
This woman was too domineering.
After hanging up, his phone showed twelve missed calls, over fifty text messages and MSN messages from Selena, Ms. Mandy, Dino, Gal, Franco, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, Lady Gaga, Amber Heard, and others.
Most of the text messages congratulated him in a teasing tone for his good grades, becoming a college student, and calling him a nerd.
Just as he was about to reply to the messages, a delicate round face appeared on the screen. It was Selena calling.
"Selena, are you calling to congratulate me? Thank you, I received it."
"Humph!"
Selena snorted, sounding very dissatisfied. "You bad guy, why did you get such a high score? You're so busy and still got such a high score, what am I supposed to do? Wuuu, Link, you have to write me another, no, three songs to make it up to me."
Link chuckled. "You'll also be taking the SAT next year, right? If you get a higher score than me, I'll write you three songs."
"Higher than 1360? That's too difficult."
Selena's voice was soft and hesitant.
"Don't you want to beat me? You definitely can't beat me in a fight or singing. The only place you can beat me is in the SAT, so come on, girl!"
Link laughed.
"...Okay, I accept this challenge. I will definitely beat you in the SAT."
Selena said confidently.
Selena asked him a few more questions about the exam before handing the phone to Katherine.
Katherine asked him which university and major he planned to apply for.
Link thought for a moment. He didn't have time to study at school and couldn't earn enough credits like other students, so applying for a sports-related major would be easier. As long as he achieved good results in sports competitions, graduating wouldn't be difficult.
So he could major in sports for his undergraduate degree, pursue a double major if he had free time to enrich himself, and if he wanted to learn more, he could apply for a graduate degree in another major after graduating from college and strive for a doctorate.
Hearing that he wanted to pursue a doctorate in the future, Selena screamed, "You're crazy!"
But Katherine agreed with his idea, thinking it was very good, and wanted Selena to pursue a doctorate in the future as well.
Amidst Selena's protests, Link hung up the phone with satisfaction. He was surprised to find that the fourth call was from 'Mario.'
"Mario, you also saw my SAT score? Thank you, I received your congratulations."
"SAT? What's that?"
Mario muttered, "Link, you said you would come to watch my game last time. Now I'm in the semifinals, when are you coming?"
It turned out to be about this. He said he understood and would definitely be there tomorrow.
