Keith asked, “Do you need anything?” He hung up the phone and turned to Bobby.
Keith took him in his arms. With his whole body twitching, Bobby clung to Keith for less than a minute. Bobby straightened his back. Keith could see he regretted his moment of weakness. “I have to go.” Bobby headed for the stairs.
“Wait. You have to pick up your car, and I’m going over to the hospital too.” Keith put on his jeans. “Do we take one car or two?”
“Two if you don’t plan on staying at the hospital. One if you do,” Bobby answered.
“Then we’ll take mine and leave from here. I have a Henley I shrunk that you can wear and clean underwear you left at the apartment.” I hope he doesn’t ask why I kept them. Keith went to the dresser and pulled out two shirts and the underwear. Throwing one shirt and his boxers to Bobby, he looked for the keys to the Rover and found them in the pocket of his jeans.
