It wasn’t rocket science, for crying out loud—if I had to guess, Melissa learned from Tanner what I was, and she no longer wanted to tango with me—I mean, she said it herself. Her bravery and cockiness went straight out the window. I can’t say I wasn’t happy about it. She even stayed away from Silas, who also paid no attention to me or anyone else apart from his friends.
