Bab 29: WEREWOLF
Luke and Selena went to the Stronghold Village. They were welcome by a lot of people. Selena noticed some faces she'd seen before and to her surprised everyone bowed to greet them. Her eyes were searching for other people that she knows but her gazed end up to a woman with a ginger colored hair. She can tell that her eyes are flaming with anger and if only looks could kill, she's probably dead by now.
'What is her problem?'. Her eyebrows knitted. She doesn't like her, a lot.
Luke and Selena continued walking. Selena felt they've been walking for a long while. She remembered the first time she came here with her whole class. Luke's ancestral house is just near the entrance. It was the biggest house in the Village. But now she can't seem to noticed it or remember where it was standing.
"Tired?". Luke noticed his Mate switching gazed and looking at different directions. He knows why. The place becomes new to her eyes.
"Not really, but I wondered where your parent's house is?..... I'm pretty sure it was near the entrance before". She can't hide her curiosity.
Luke just grin. "You're so adorable".
Selena knitted her brows. 'What so adorable about asking where their house is?'. She just asked it to herself instead.
A very high tower that looks like a fortress appeared in front of Selena's eyes. It looks like a castle. She can't recall this place because it really wasn't there when they stayed here. She noticed some big men guarding the entrance. They look like warriors. When they are near the two guards bowed at them.
'Weird'. She thought.
The tower stands with at least thirty floors. At the entrance alone she can tell that the place is spacious. A lot of people seems to be working in there and paused when they saw Luke. All of them bowed their heads but Luke doesn't seem to care and so Selena nod at them a little to show some respect. She saw how astonished they were.
'Did I do something wrong'. She worries.
Luke was just watching her in the corner of his eye. When he saw a worried and confused look on her face the corner of his lips curved upward. He also saw her give a nod back to his people, he was happy from her gesture. She really is a very grateful person.
'I'm probably not the only one who will love you from now on'. He said to himself.
Luke took Selena to the highest floor of the tower. When they entered a room there were already people waiting.
"Mrs. Stronghold!". Selena was delighted to see her. She really like Luke's mother.
"Oh my little honey, finally you're here!". Avery stands up and gave Selena a hug. "You still smell so good, although you smell like my son". She teased her.
Selena's cheeks burned red. She remembered this morning that she used Luke's bathroom also his shampoo and soap.
Luke grabs her and caged her in his arms then inhaled her scent. "She smells perfect to me".
Selena felt like her face is as red as tomato now. She can't believed Luke will be this shameless. She can feel his possessiveness but she can't imagine he will actually display it in front of his parents and also with other people.
"Luke".
"Yes my love?".
"Can you let go of me?".
"No I can't!".
"Just for now.... Please!". Selena was so embarrassed she wants to dig a hole and hide in there forever. It's too much PDA for her.
"Are you shy?". Luke is teasing her.
She pouted her lips and knitted her brows when she looked at him. She is so embarrassed she wanted to get mad.
"Okay don't get mad.... I'm sorry I just miss you so much!". He said for his defense.
Selena was astonished. 'How can he miss her when she haven't left his side yet'. The thought made her smile. She saw him made a grin and her heart pound. Her brain is screaming at her. 'Your male god is so delicious!'.
"You two love birds should quit that for a moment". Avery broke their silence. She can smell their hormones rising just by looking at each other. "Newly Mates!". She chuckles.
"Stay here!". Luke whispered to her ear and walked beside the long table that facing her and the door.
Selena was standing in the middle of a room and in front of her is a long table that use for business meetings. There are old and young people sitting at each side along Luke's parents. She saw Luke went to the head seat and sit there like a king. Beside him is Drew on his right and on his left is Tony. She remembered him as one of Luke's bodyguard. They were all staring at her with serious faces except Avery who always smiles at her. God she loves this woman.
"Let's begin then". Avery broke again the silence.
"Selena..... I'm a WEREWOLF!". Luke said with a serious tone.
"What!". Selena was dumbfounded. 'Did she hear it right?'.
"Yes honey..... All the people you see here are werewolves. Even the young ones after they turned sixteen they will turn just like us". Avery tried to explain slowly to her.
Selena's eyes blink consecutively. Her mouth is in a gape. She wants to say something but there seems to be a lump inside her throat. No words can come out.
"More than half of the population in this town belongs to our kind. Those others are ordinary humans just like you. The older humans knows what we really are and they've been our allies for thousands of years now". Larry explained carefully.
Selena raised her hands like she wants them to stop. "And you're telling me this because?". She found a courage to speak now.
"Because you're my MATE and I already MARKED you!". Luke answered for them.
"Can I clarify things by my own understanding?". She asked politely.
"Go ahead". Luke even lend his hand out.
"Mate means, I am your partner or soon to be wife and marking me means you OWN me. Like a possession that only belongs to you". She saw Luke grinned.
"Oh my little honey is so smart". Avery looks very happy.
"Not yet!... The process of mating is only one sided". Larry said in a serious tone.
Selena got curious. "How do we do the other half then?". Realizing what she just asked. She felt embarrassed and covered her mouth.
Luke chuckled while staring at her. He is holding his self to run to her and kiss her till she can't almost breath.
"You need to turn first then mark him the way he did it to you".
Selena was shocked for a minute. She will become a wolf too just like them. Then she need to mark Luke to complete the mating process, the way he did to her. 'That will be a steamy process'. Her naughty side is commenting again. She remembered he marked her in the middle of their sex. She blushed.
