Bab 48: LITTLE ANGEL
Amanda, Breeze and other young warriors with their trainors are already gathered in the training ground. Amanda already informed them about a challenge and she saw excitement in their eyes.
Selena came on time and scanned the place and the people. She can sense some disdain in their gazes but she ignored them. She knows that they don't like her because they think she is a weak human.
"I'm here!... May I know who the hell is Breeze?". She asked impolitely out of hunger but pertaining to no one.
"I am Breeze!".
Selena saw a tall beautiful woman with a pair of beautiful amethyst eyes. She have a long blonde hair that waves everytime a wind touch them.
"Have I seen you before, you look familiar?". Selena remembered the same pair of eyes before but she can't totally recall where. She made a mental note of putting more attention to her surroundings start today because feels like her photographic memory is not working properly anymore.
"I'm sorry but I haven't seen you before and I don't give a damn to lowly weak humans. Your presence is not worth of my attention". Breeze rudely told her. She felt an intense rage by only seeing Selena's face. Something that is not normal for her because she knows herself. She don't get irritated easily.
The crowd behind Breeze cheers with an awe showing some mocking expression to Selena and supporting Breeze attitude towards her. Amanda on the other hand was grinning. She really hates Selena from the start and she was sure today is Selena's final day in Stronghold Village.
Mark's house.
"Mrs. Shudder..... This is the most delicious cupcakes I've ever eaten in my entire life!". Kevin is grinning from ear to ear. He was eating a lemon cupcakes made by Mark's mother.
"Stop sucking up to my Mom!". Mark glared at him.
"Let them be, if they want to eat they can eat everything. I am grateful that they like what I made for them". Mrs. Shudder said with happiness while showing a scold look to her son.
"You really are the best Mrs. Shudder.... Please adopt us". Clint made a sad puppy look to her then took a big bite of his cupcake.
"Hey your parents are still alive why are you asking my Mom to adopt you!".
"Well my Mom don't cook. She's a good warrior than a cook". Clint said while muching the cupcake with full of gusto.
"Either way, I don't want you to be my brother. I already have one headache I don't want another one!". Mark is frowning deeply taking all what his friends saying seriously but his friends are just grinning from ear to ear.
"I will be your sweetest brother". Clint said while blinking his eyes consecutively like a little girl who wants to look cute.
"Oh shut up!".
Mrs. Shudder laughed while watching their conversations while Mark glared at Clint. Sam is busy eating and scrolling on his phone without a care.
"By the way, take this cupcakes to the Luna. I was too busy preparing for warrior Amanda's banquet I forgot to send her some". Mrs. Shudder gently put six strawberry cupcakes in a large box. She made them specially for Selena.
Mark smiled looking at his mother. He didn't missed how his mother addressed Selena as her Luna. He wasn't surprised because his mother knows everything that happened from the battle field and how Selena saved their lives. He knows his mother is very grateful to Selena just like him.
"How come I didn't hear anything from the tower?". Sam said without looking at anyone.
The three of them looked at Sam puzzled.
"I was wondering about that too?". Mrs. Shudder add her curiosity too.
The three was dumbfounded.
"Mom, what are you talking about?". Mark asked. He have no idea what the two of them was talking about.
Sam stopped what he was doing. "The Alpha haven't give anything to Selena like there's nothing happened. I mean a simple recognition won't hurt". He simply explained to them.
Mark falls to a deep thought. Now that Sam mentioned it he also wondered why their Alpha is not saying anything about Selena and her contribution to their battle. He thought it would give Selena a good impression if their pack knows all the great things she had done for them. Practically speaking she did save almost all of their lives.
"Because it's for her own good". Dusk said as soon as he get inside the house.
All of them turned their heads to his direction.
"What do you mean it's for her own good?". Sam asked. He is totally baffled.
"Our future Luna is special. Do you think she will be safe if other pack or rogues knows about her ability". Dusk explained in a simple way he knows how.
"Ability?". The four lads said at the same time.
"Oops!". Dusk forgot Luke's order.
"What kind of ability?". Sam became curious. Selena always look ordinary in his eyes but hearing she have a special ability it tickles his curiosity.
"You'll find out soon but for now keep all that thoughts for yourselves". Dusk winked at them before he leave with a cupcake on his mouth. He trusted this four rascals specially his younger brother. Besides Selena is not only their future Luna she's also their friend.
"Okay you four, listen to Dusk. If what he said is for the good of the Luna you'd better follow, okay". Mrs. Shudder said seriously. She knows their Alpha has a plan they just need to wait. "Now Mark take this to Mrs. Stronghold, I believe the Luna stays there". She hand the box to his son with a smile.
Mark took the box and head straight to the door. He didn't asked the others if they wanted to come.
"Mark!". A small voice called for him.
Mark was surprised to see little Rice in front of their door.
"Hey little angel, what are you doing here?". He sat down to her height so that she won't look up to much. "Would you like some cupcake?".
Rice nod and Mark took her inside the house.
"Hey guys, look who we have here!". Mark said gleefully.
"Oh, little Rice you're here..... Come have some cupcake". Mrs. Shudder gave her a lemon cupcake but Rice didn't take it.
"She's also a little strawberry girl Mom". Mark said grinning and hand her a strawberry cupcake. She have the same taste like Selena he thought.
Rice took the cupcake and made a huge bite. "Mark". She called his name again sweetly.
"What is it little angel?". Mark patted Rice head. She like the little this girl innocent face and her big clear eyes.
"Luna will fight the big bad lady". She said innocently while eating her cupcake.
"What!". All the attention of the four lads even Mrs. Shudder was caught.
"How did you know?". Sam was the first one to asked.
"I saw it.... She will beat her because the Luna is very strong". Rice said as if she was just telling them a cartoon show.
"Angel, where did you hear it. Did somebody told you about it?". Mark asked in a very gentle way.
"I saw them this morning after I woke up. They are in the training ground". She's now licking her finger. "Can I have another?". Rice asked sweetly.
"It's true, my cousin is there. I asked him through mind link". Kevin said after confirming with his cousin.
Mark lifted Rice. "Let's go!". He needs to know what kind of fight will going to happen and if the Alpha knows about it.
