Jowanna nodded and continued eating. "I heard you filed a case against your mother."
"Mhm," Amber hummed after she ate a spoonful of rice, topped with a slice of steak.
"Why?"
Amber lifted her gaze to look in her direction and smiled sweetly. "I was just putting her in the right place."

"Are you sure about this?" Trish asked while standing at Tristan's doorstep. Tristan was now packing his things.
Trish whose face was unexplainable, slowly walked towards him. "Are you really leaving?"
Tristan halted and lifted his gaze. "I will come back. Don't worry."
"I know. But, why do you have to leave?" Trish knelt and worriedly caressed Tristan's hand. "Can't you stay?"
Tristan's eyes narrowed. "Quit it. It doesn't suit you."
Trish just rolled her eyes and stood up. "You really like ruining the mood. Tsk. So, when are you coming back?"
Tristan just shrugged his shoulders as he continued to put his clothes inside his luggage. "Who knows?"
