On the first day of New Year's Day, the school was on holiday. Emily slept until noon. Stephanie had come over three times and found that Emily was still sleeping. She looked at Vincent who was sitting on the sofa and then turned to leave.

Emily stayed very late in the studio last night, and she drew a portrait of Vincent's mother.
