Bab 238: A Day in Silverspire II

Miranda wasn't one to reject a kiss from Jamie, so she reciprocated. But as she kissed him back, her tongue was bathed in hot spice that made her flinch, but her sense of smell was completely muted so couldn't smell it at all!

Confused, she pulled back, frowning at him.

"Jay! What did you do?"

Jamie only chuckled, his eyes filled with mischief.

"Just thought I'd give you a taste of Silverspire's finest spices without the warning. Didn't want to overwhelm you."

Miranda rolled her eyes, wrinkling her nose right after as her frown deepened.

"I should've known you'd pull something like this. Now I can't smell anything!"

Jamie leaned back in his chair, laughing and Miranda reached over, flicking his forehead as she broke the spell forcefully.

"Remind me to repay the favour next time. Maybe with something you won't see coming."

"Oh, I'm looking forward to it."
