Bab 30: Chapter 30

Seeing his wife's confusion, Lin Ercheng didn't rush to explain. First, he followed Mother Lin out of the kitchen with some chestnuts and sweet potatoes that Nanzhi had brought back some time ago, then took the whole family to the dam at the entrance of the village.

The earthquakes sometimes come in waves; their family would probably have to stay on the dam for a couple of days, so it's always good to bring some food.

After they had gathered all the stuff and everyone reached the dam, Lin Ercheng looked at his wife and sister-in-law's puzzled faces and finally explained, "When Nanzhi was little, she was quite mysterious."

Nanzhi almost dropped the sweet potato in her hand when she heard her brother speaking earnestly about how she was a 'mystical person'.

When she saw that her mother agreed by nodding her head, she bowed her head and ate her sweet potato. Whatever they said was fine. After all, she wasn't the original owner, she had no position to refute anything.
