Then Princess Raen approached him and hugged him. "Father, I want to ask you something. I know this may sound presumptuous. I know you're grieving, but I have to say this right now."

"What is it, My Dear?" asked Master Ferlat with a faint smile. He seemed to know what was in his daughter's mind.

"Father, for the last time, I ask your blessing so that I may marry Jakris. We love each other. In fact, even your arranged marriage can't separate me from him. I really love Jakris, Father. I beg you." Princess Raen pleaded with her father desperately. "Allow me to live together with Jakris forever in peace and calm."
