Bab 103: You Made Me Do This

The atmosphere was tense on the city wall. From what could be seen, there were about a thousand and five hundred people in the enemy’s troops. Meanwhile, Bernier City’s force was made up of only around eight hundred mages. If they were to count the support from the Richart and the Johanness clans, then the number would become a thousand and two hundred, which was still smaller compared to the enemy’s troops. On the bright side, the city still had the advantage of the terrain. But in a war between mages, the number of soldiers and the location of the battlefield alone could not dictate the outcome. The most important thing was the mages’ level of power. An enemy troop consisting of thousands of mages like this could probably be wiped out entirely by a single attack from a king mage. But unfortunately, Bernier was only a small city. They did not have a mage who was that strong.
