In front of the large building where Arias and his companions had entered the underground cave, Nicholas was pacing back and forth, visibly anxious. It had been quite some time since Arias and the others had gone inside. From morning until now, the sun had risen to its zenith, indicating midday, yet there was no sign of the three emerging from the building. Although there had been no sounds of distress suggesting they were in danger, there were also no voices or footsteps—just an eerie, unsettling silence.
"If His Majesty doesn’t return soon, prepare to go inside with me to check on the situation," Nicholas instructed the soldiers standing nearby. They all nodded in agreement, ready to follow his command without question.
"Yes, Captain!"
The soldiers responded with firm voices, their tone filled with respect and loyalty toward Nicholas.
