“What’s at the border? Bandits? Heretics? Or a dangerous beast?”

Arias asked Charlotte. Having heard what she said earlier, he could begin to tell what the purpose of this order was. There must be something hiding at the border, and that something must be dangerous enough that it should be eliminated rather than left alone.

“Good guess. There’s a beast hidden in the forest near the border. We first thought that it was some kind of dragon, and so we sent our people to hunt it down. But until now, we still haven’t heard back from them.”
