Bab 107: A Dog Pleasing Its Master

After Haymie died, the enemy seemed to have lost all their fighting spirits. They slowly backed away, their hopelessness evident on their faces. Without a knight mage on their side, they were no different than a ship without a rudder. Their eyes darted around, fearing for dangers that might come to them at any time. Haymie, who had been protecting them, was dead. The only thing they could do now was retreat.

But of course, Arias would not let them go that easily. His eyes met Farhan’s, and the clan leader and his grandson exchanged unspoken words. It was as if they could read each other’s minds. Arias was the first to charge at the enemy, his sword slaying them with no mercy and making the blood splatter like rain. The young man turned to look at Farhan and gave him a challenging smile.
