Jack’s POV

“Didn’t expect a vampire to be a Dracula fan,” Grace said cautiously as she walked up the stairs after the bloodsucker. I didn’t like him, but my wolf didn’t sense any threat from him either. And vampire or not, I trusted my instincts more than I was bothered by races. Sure, he was powerful, but not even his ability to fly would be enough for him to win in a fight against me if I decided to kill him. What that prick however was, was a showoff. Grabbing Grace and flying around with her like that, just---

Grrr!!!

Because of that, I hated him!

“Aha, the worst and best thing that ever happened to us supernaturals,” Chris sighed dramatically, pretending to be a bigger idiot than he really was. He wasn’t fooling me though. He’d lived long enough to learn to see things. To know what small hints here and there meant. And I didn’t like it. Because that meant he’d probably figured out, that Grace wasn’t born a witch. And we had a name for people like that.
