Charlotte sighed and took a long sip of the coffee, evidently taking her time before replying, ''It's just…I don't know if I should tell you this considering your confusing identity and all.''

''It's alright,'' Avery shrugged, making sure that a hint of sadness reflected in her voice.

''I don't think it is,'' Charlotte disagreed. ''What I actually spend my time thinking of is why the police are yet to detain you, even though you look so much like the younger miss McCallum. But then it came to me and I realized you are also a victim here. They couldn't have let you be unless they have verified your identity and are really sure the real culprit is dead.''

''Younger miss McCallum?'' Avery repeated, her brows raised in question.

''Yeah…'' Charlotte whispered.

A frown started to form on Avery's face, ''Why would you call her that? Everyone calls her Avery McCallum, the murderer, the ingrate, the traitor and so on.''
