Bab 9: Chapter 9: Fire bending Pointers
"You want me to give you pointers?" I question, my face never changed, still not showing any emotion.
"I mean, Of course! You are the Prodigious Dragon Prince, and since you already mastered these forms, I figured you can tell me what I'm doing wrong" Azula trails off here, waiting for my response.
I've already mastered the intermediate fire forms and it won't take much of my time to give this young girl pointer. At least she isn't like the fangirls but she is just as much an attention seeker as everyone else. But now I should ask myself, why? Why should I help?... But then, why should I not help?...
--- Flashback ---
"Sasuke, why are you so mean to your sister?" said Ursa. She came to visit me while I was training behind the palace. She comes to visit every now and then, bringing snacks and lunches.
".." I have no answer to your question. The best answer I have is silence.
"You're my son Sasuke, it was hard at first, but I can already tell what you're saying even with your silence. You don't have a real reason for ignoring your sister do you?"
'Hmph,' I do. I don't want to be anyone's big brother.
"Do you not want to be a big brother?"
"!!" Good thing I wasn't facing her, or she might have seen my reaction to that. Mothers are too cunning.
"hehe, oh Sasuke, you are such a simple child. Do you feel like being her big brother would make you lose something in yourself? Become something you don't want to be? It won't. No big brother can possibly not want the best for their little siblings. There is no such thing as a bad big brother." Ursa said smiling at me. I looked at her in shock. She soon walked away, leaving me to my thoughts.
I spent the rest of the day thinking about Itachi...my big brother.

I finished my thought process and looked at Azula. Without a word, I started walking to the training grounds. It took her a second before she beamed with joy and followed behind me. We arrived at my personal training grounds behind the palace very soon. Taking off my robes to show my training garbs underneath, I face Azula in a basic fire form stance.
She looks at me in shock!
"We're sparring?! I only wanted you to show me the errors in my form." She complained.
Now I see why Azulan did this to me. To see someone shocked because they weren't mentally prepared to fight you is very amusing.
Leaving my form, I stand straight and ask, "You want pointers or not?"
"!!"
Azula now looks really conflicted. But the decision is soon made on her face.
"I'll show you what I'm capable of!"
Back in our stances, she lunges first, shortening the distance. She is easy for me to read, and I avoid all her attacks. In frustration, she starts to incorporate fire bending into her moves, unleashing pretty decent red flames. I take her moves in stride, sending small bursts of the flame of my own that are easily manageable. I escalate my attacks and start testing her limits, all the while never letting a single attack hit me. Her breath is getting haggard and tiredness is setting in. Seeing this I do one final lunge, to her surprise. I got incredibly close, did a leg sweep putting her on her back, and sent a punch at her face…
I stopped short. Of course, I was planning to stop short, but I didn't stop because I wanted to. A hand was holding my right bicep back.
"What are you doing, Iroh?" Looking back I see the same, unimpressive man in casual robes.
"That's what I should be asking you! Prince Sasuke!" Replied Iroh.
"I was giving pointers to Azula" I stated bluntly.
"Pointers!? That's how you give pointers? It looked like an Agni Kai! You were about to burn a 6-year-old girl! You were about to burn your sister!" Iroh was almost screaming at this point. Great. Another annoying family member. This unimpressive old man is pretty strong though, the force he is applying by squeezing my arm is no joke.
Shrugging off the hand holding me, and ignoring the pain I said, "You just met me, and you blame me for almost burning her? What's wrong with you old man? You don't know me."
"!!" Iroh was shocked.
"!!" Azula was shocked.
(A/n: Sasuke used 'Endure' followed by a 'Sucker punch!' It was super effective!
Ps. Totally not an intentional dark type move)
"Sigh, you're right Prince Sasuke, I don't know you two well enough to have intervened. I can see you two are very skilled, but why were you so serious against your family?" asked Iroh.
"Who said I was being serious?"
"!!" Azula was once again shocked.
"My apologies, Prince Sasuke. Your strength is well hidden, truly a hidden dragon. Perhaps I can take her place and also ask for pointers? I have quite the fascination with dragons you see." said Iroh.
'Yeah yeah, I get it, oh great Dragon of the west' but that's not a bad idea. I can face a general, though he doesn't look like it. I fight the other students and visit the military sometimes for sparring but I can't find anyone at my level that stays in the country. The people at my level are already on a ship traveling the seas, and at important positions. With this, I can test my limits…
