Bab 1: Karma

"Hey...God..."

There was a moment of silence because he tried to find the right words to say to God up the sky.

He needed to know the answer.

"If...I didn't...Have this disability..."

Jack wanted to blame someone...He wanted to know if it was his luck's fault or the devils.

His whole life he was made fun of and bullied both physically & mentally both by his classmates in high school and his whole family and for what? Because of some car accident that happened in his teenage years that wasn't even his fault but his parents due to them irresponsibly driving a car while being extremely drunk coming home after eating at an exclusive restaurant with a child in the back seat.

And due to that accident he couldn't run at all and walk properly and that caused his classmates to bully him to the point a nose bleed was a daily thing for him...

Even when he told his parents & brother about it...All he got in return was a smack on the cheek from his father and a laugh both from his mom and brother... 'Those bastards...'

Jack was mentally tired of all the thinking and didn't know anymore what he should do...

Jack shook his head trying to forget it all and with angry looking eyes face up to the sky and said

"Tell me...Are you even there...?"

Jack gritted his teeth for a while but then his anger turned into sadness as he looked down at the the ground where people were going about their day and had their own worries to take care of.

'I wonder if any of my co-workers would miss me if I decided to...'

He was uncertain of whether he should jump or not.

His heart said to go home and call it a day and on the other hand his mind & body told him to end it all.

And as he was thinking his phone rang and was sighing in relief as his savior came.

He stared at the phone in his hands with an empty looking face

"...Jason"

That name brought many feelings but the strongest were anger and envy.

Envy because his whole life his brother his older brother was always the favorite child of his parents even before the accident...The accident was only a boost to his brother to get all the attention...

And anger because his so-called brother never loved or even cared about his younger relative for 26 years of his whole life...That bastard even stole his first crush and he didn't even love her...He just wanted me to have a reaction and tell my parents about my brother's narcissistic personality so he could enjoy the show of me getting my face beaten up more on the front seat...Fortunately he was smarter than that...

'What does this son of a bitch want from me this time..? It's already been 4 months since Jason called me and all the topics Jason could talk was about some money issues he's having...

While he was afraid to call back he wanted to know what would his brother think if he told him he's gonna end his own life because of him...He wanted to know if his brother has changed during those 4 months and finally decided to apologize for his past behavior...Even if there's a 1% chance of that happening he decided to take the chance

"...Hello?"

It was his brother's voice...But something about that voice didn't quite fit.

"Hey...What do you want..? Is everything alright..?"

He could swear something wasn't right.

"...Do you wanna meet?"

"What? Why--"

"Our parent's died Jack"

Jack froze from shock.

"...What?"

"Jack...Please just...Can we meet up..? Brother I--"

Jack slipped his phone down the streets which possibly hit someone's head.

He was in shock.

Jack didn't know anymore what was right or wrong because the moment he looked towards the window across the building and saw his face...

He was smiling.

He had a fucking wide grin across his face...

Jack felt too overwhelmed and drowned in his feelings.

Jack was always firmly believed the saying water isn't thicker than blood despite his family's treatment towards him... He thought that even if holds a grudge he should at least somewhat help in someway but right now...

He felt relief and happiness.

Words couldn't describe what he was feeling because all kinds of emotions were all over him but mostly stood out the most were both relief and happiness.

'Why-'

Then it hit him.

He never loved his family in fact he despised them.

He hated every single person that did him wrong and wished them the worst that human life possibly could get.

He guessed what Jason was gonna say but the damage's already been done.

An apology isn't gonna fix anything.

All it does is make you feel less guilty of your wrongdoings towards that said person.

Neither is he gonna forget or forgive in this life or another.

He hopes Jason loses his will to live because of his younger brother & parent's death and will end up ending his own life.

'He deserves it after all'

He felt greatly overwhelmed by feelings to the point he didn't think twice before walking the two steps towards his grave.

As he was falling he was on the verge of losing consciousness because he could swear he hit his head on something as he flipped over and over in the air.

At this point he couldn't even quite understand if he was going up or down but that thought ended faster than it came because at the last second he felt a pressure that followed with unimaginable pain he has ever felt in his lifetime.

The scene would only be described in one word.

Horror.

Many people who saw the body ended up vomiting because the body hit so badly on the ground that even bones were poking out. The whole body was pancaked to the point it was a bloody mess. Blood everywhere. Even one of the eyeballs managed to roll near a child that ended up vomiting along with others and when people started to gather more and more finally an ambulance was called by an unknown elder.
