Bab 17: Death
Asher jumped from the string, and collected the cores, two carcasses looked fine, but the third one who was unfortunate enough to take the full impact of the energy bolt was an absolute mess.
Asher then walked away, on his way he saw the normal beast, trolls... etc but he decided to ignore them.
Arriving at his base, inside the cave, Asher absorbed the three core bringing his lvl to 34%.

And like that Asher spent another weak training and fighting different beasts, making him reach 83%.
A month had passed in the forest, and Asher decided to go back to the village while running he couldn't but have a bad feeling.
Suddenly he froze... he saw smoke.
He runs as fast as he can, before stopping, after seeing a bloody figure walking with difficulty.
"A-Asher a!*Cough*," said the figure.
"Aramil! what happened?!" Asher's heart run cold, Aramil was the elf that challenged him in the beginning, but he then became his best friend, but right he was a bloody mess.
"I-it was that traitor scum Almar! he led an army of humans to our village!*Cough**Cough*" he said before coughing blood.
"Wait here I wi..." before he could finish, his hand was grabbed by Aramil.
"Y-you absolutely can't! the enemies have an Aura Grand-master! the elder told me to give you this" said Aramil before handing a ring to Asher.
"I-i can't go! Keyala! the elder! everyone else is inside!" shouted Asher.
"Asher!! Y-you will die if you go! A *cough* I could have escaped, and avenged the village later*cough* but I chose to warn you! don't let my death be in vain *cough* p-please" said Aramil with hopeful eyes.
Asher's eyes were filled with tears, it was hard to admit it but Aramil was right, then he remembered his energy healing technique.
"*Cough* don't bother, I was poisoned there is no hope for me *Cough*," said Aramil weakly, after seeing Asher's hopefully eyes.
"I-i-i-i will get you an antidote you just have to keep resisting, ok? you can make..." Asher panicked, he tried to cheer up his friend, but then he realized that his friend's eyes lost all sign of life.
Tears streamed from Asher's eyes, his lips trembled for a moment.
"Waaaaaah!" Asher cried his heart out for minutes, before stopping.
"Are you sure?" a voice was heard.
"Yes, I just shot that tree hugger with a poisoned arrow, he should be here somewhere, crawling like a worm," said another voice.
"Or maybe he is dead," said the first voice.
"Maybe, but I'm still going to stab him, hahaha!" said the second voice.
"There he is... but someone else is here," said the first voice.
Asher raised his face, his eyes were lifeless and red from crying, in front of him was two armored humans, they looked like knights.
"Was the tree hugger your friend?" asked a knight.
Asher didn't respond.
"I saw him hiding, and I told him that I don't like killing, I said that I want to help him, and he looked at me with hopeful eyes, he said that he needs to warn a friend outside, so i escorted him outside the village, and told him "Now run to your friend, you are safe"" said the knight and his friend tried to hold his laughter.
"Then he thanked us, and run away, so i took my crossbow aimed it at his back when he was far enough, and *click*," said the soldier aiming his crossbow at the air.
"Bwahahahaha" the second soldier couldn't hold it anymore.
"And here we go the rat led us to another rat, now little rat what should..." before he could finish, Asher who was kneeling on the ground grabbed the soldier leg and...
*Zzzzzzzzzzzzzt*
The soldier began to shake, before falling to the ground paralyzed.
The second knight reacted and grabbed his sword.
Asher got up with no wasted movement and walked towards the knight.
The knight grows surprised when he saw Asher's body split to five.
Asher dashed at the knight, but he was cut down and disappeared.
"What?!" the knight exclaimed.
Four of asher dashed at the knight, the knight then slashed with a sword, while his other arm turned into a blade(Ability), a did a spin cutting down all the clones.
"How do you like that beast, i develop... *Guh*" the knight cried in pain as an arm came through his stomach.
