I watched as Raphael tilted his head back and burst out laughing. "There are so many things wrong with that statement that I don't even know where to begin," started Raphael as he walked over to the sectional and sat down.

He patted the spot beside him, and I sank down into his embrace as the rest of my mates surrounded us. Kristen and Scarlet sat in the chairs on the other side of us, and Luther went to stand by the door.

I guess once a guard, always a guard.

The man on the phone didn't say a word in response to Raphael's statement. I could feel the tension on his side, but unfortunately for him, the ball was on our side of the court, and everyone knew it.

"First, I am not the president of the shifters. And, while we have one, Mr. Human President, I technically outrank him. You can refer to me as either Alpha or Mr. Silverblood," continued Raphael as he gently placed a kiss on my forehead.
