Eight, or rather nine beings waged a colossal battle for the ownership of the tenth divine seat. The fight was so fierce that it shattered the heavens and shifted the continents. 

After months of relentless combat, it ended with all nine severely injured.

In a moment of rare consensus, they decided to each form their own factions, choosing representatives to vie for the tenth divine seat, with the nine themselves forbidden to intervene. 

However, weakened from their injuries, they couldn't guarantee the loyalty of whoever would eventually claim the seat. There was a risk that this tenth individual could overthrow them all and become the sole ghost god.

To prevent this, they unanimously agreed to sign ghost slave contracts, turning all ghost souls into their slaves. Together, they sealed the passage to the ghost realm and divided the world into 32 vast Ghost Realms, establishing grand cities and starting wars among their ghost slaves.
