Darce walked silently out of the guest house. The guards bowed to him as he walked out. The brown shirt was comfortable on his body for the summer wind. He watched the place around the palace. He did not have any longing for Rante or the capital. According to him, the best site is the Eagle camp, but still, he would rather be in the black castle of Rante than the capital.

Nothing pulled him here, 'I am only here for his Majesty.'

He thought, yet there was something else that kept him here. Every night, he would walk and pass the princess's palace. He would raise his head and try to glance at the balcony. He would try to get a glimpse of her. Darce could not give a title to his curiosity. He longed to stay with her; then again, he did not wish to know her after she became a princess.
