Imperial Guards were hiding atop the wall, watching their comrades from above. The order was to lock down the castle. No one was allowed to enter, and they were ordered to use their lives to defend the castle. That was King Sebastia's decree for them.
They could not save their comrades even if they wanted to. They were outnumbered, and they only had a limited supply inside. Their chance to survive from the rebel army was slim. The only way for them to survive was for the army to return.
Receiving no answer from the castle, the ten soldiers beheaded the captured Imperial Guards. All the guards on the wall looked away.
Ten heads rolled on the ground. Their blood painted the stone road. But that was not the end, the soldier brought another ten Imperial Guards.
