Ringkasan

This is a tale.

One of Life,
Of Death,
And of the unnatural disregard of the rules that govern both.

Our story arguably begins at this climax, just after the death and reincarnation of a random eccentric.
In a turbulent world experiencing a forceful, remorseless revolution, we follow the saga of a possessed young noble and the world around him.

Our main character, a slightly crazy (Laughs), psychopathic, possibly apathetic yet apt youth...
Possessing dual souls, and the memories that come with them, He challenges head-on the complicated political structure and social-economic hurdles that plague a budding, war-stricken civilization.

Come along, oh dear traveller...
To Anno, a world hiding in its bowels, legendary secrets worthy of your exploration.

For it is the year 223 S.T.
The year it all began.

This is just an incredibly good and engaging read. 1. Style The style is simple, and has a somewhat unorthodox post medieval fantasy flare. The author definitely puts a lot of thought into the world and characters, and it shows through. The style is consistent throughout, and although it isn't anything particularly ground-breaking, it's solid and leaves a lot of room for amazing storytelling. The only gripe I kind of have is that the author tends to do a lot of "tell" instead of "show," especially toward the later chapters. But it's forgiveable, because the lore is so deep and world so fleshed out and rich that it's hard to just represent just through organic "showing." However, this results in dense chapters full of intricate information and concepts basically just told to us in plaintext with some important details basically dumped as 'excerpts' or 'disclosable information' so that it's hard to binge all the chapters in one go (not impossible, just requiring a bit more effort than the typical novel). This isn't so much a problem though as the author is kind of consistent with this style and I am sure it would be easy to get used to with time. 2. Story Amazing. What can I say? Just superb. Everything is thought out. Every little thing is important. The whole story is founded off of the rather cliche concept of reincarnation, but the author expands it to so much more than that. The lore is deep and interesting, with twists and turns throughout. The story is in no way predictable. However, it is engaging, super tense. You can tell that the author has planned things for a long time and is giving us a rich, engaging, bouncy ride. 3. Grammar Score Not completely perfect, but almost flawless. In the beginning chapters, I couldn't find a single error. However, later on there are a few errors that pop up here and now, but it is still better than 99.9% of fictions here. 4. Character Score A-ma-zing. So good... one of my favorite things about this novel is the character development of Levi/James. Although we are just getting to see a glimpse of what lies underneath, I can't wait . I'm a big fan of characters with intriguing backgrounds. Overall, one of the best I have encountered. Kind of hard to binge but it's amazing and worth it. I would suggest just a few chapters a day or else your mind will get tired (it's so dense lol...). But read it! It's so good!

I am quite easily satisfied, not going to lie. Still, the previous sentence has not much to do with what I am going to say about this story, or at least, I will try to be as observant as I can. Also, I really like Kingdom-building stories. Aaaand, it's my first review too. Grammar: The grammar is very clean. Little errors and a lot of attention to detail. Not quite true literature, but trust me Anno borders on the precepts of it. Story: The plot is quite easy to follow and well told, I feel. Again, I really like these kind of stories, so I am eager to see more! I feel like it has potential. Somehow the author managed to do extensive world building without the book feel like there was any real info dumping. It is carefully constructed and paced with relevant information shown rather than told. Exquisite! Style: I like dialogue-heavy chapters better. And this does it to a quite enjoyable extent. Characters: There is a lot of potential in there. Given how James and Levi mesh together, and the final result, being our protagonist. How will his previous acquaintances react? The main character's foreshadowed mental instability? What enemies will he make? What allies will he make? Eager to see all that. All in all Anno is an excellent read, I would prescribe this to anyone. Enjoy.
