Bab 79: Ride On Mine

Noah tried to hide his tears, but it was impossible. Once he started, he didn't know how to stop. He knew he was a weakling compared to his brothers, but he couldn't contain himself. Tears are a privilege, Kallum used to tell him as he watched his brother break down.

Neither Kallum or Cruden knew how to comfort a crying Noah. And Noah tried to not blame them for it. Noah knew how lucky he was to be able to freely cry in the presence of his heartless brothers. He knew if their father was still alive, they'd be beaten an inch of their life for even shedding a single tear.

Noah used to cry by himself. He liked it that way. He'd be able to sob as long as he wanted without interference, before picking himself back up. That was how he did it. But things are much different now.

They had a woman in the house. One, that was just as soft-hearted and sympathetic as he was. And as she softly patted his shoulder whilst ruffling his hair, he couldn't help, but cry harder.
