Bab 108: My One And Only

As soon as word got out, every wolf of the pack got the call. Everyone dropped what they were doing and headed to the hall for the announcement. Chatter and gossip were happening all at once.

No one knew what it was about, only that it was an important announcement. Damien remained quiet as he watched his entire pack gather. Young and old, male and female, everyone who could walk came to attend. The council stood behind him, eager to hear his announcement.

Their expressions were mixed. Some think they know exactly what it was going to be about.

"It's about time," one of the elders of the council whispered to another, "Finally he sees reason."

Elder Rosalie looked to Damien. Though she could only see the Alpha's back view, she knew what was going through the younger wolf's mind. Looking back at her fellow elders, all she could do was let out a sigh.

They had no idea what the Alpha was going to say.
