Bab 70: Missing

Damien immediately gave chase but quickly lost sight of his mate. Knowing full well he could not rely on his sense of smell anymore, he put his hunting and tracking skills to good use.

It reminded him of the fact that Yukon wasn't there to help him. But he was not about to give up easily either.

'It would be a lot easier with you here though, Yukon,' he thought to himself.

Lucky for the Alpha, his regular sense of smell was still able to provide him with some clues. He trusted his gut and followed a trail that hopefully led to his mate. But when the clues he had gathered ran cold, Damien furrowed his eyebrows.

The tracks stopped right in front of a tree.

Was it possible that his mate disappeared into thin air?

Perhaps she had powers beyond his wildest imagination. Looking up at the tree's trunk in front of him, he realized where she was. She was up above in the trees! He looked up, only for a shadow to cloud his vision immediately.
