Rosina and Draco remained silent as they went back to their carriage. The ride was awkward and heavy due to Draco's anger radiating off his body.
"You know, we already signed an agreement. I don't know why you are reacting that way," Rosina stated and twirled the light pink rose in her hand. Then started plucking each petal one by one.
"Indeed, but what he said was true. There are many snakes everywhere," Draco lowly growled and fisted his hand to suppress his emotion.
"It's true, but then again, I already signed the contract, which means that I must follow it. Besides, I don't want a mate for myself too. We're on the same boat here," Rosina reminded Draco since all the mate things were fake.
"Hmm, do you wanna be close friends then?" Draco stated with a smirk. His mood lightened up, and he returned to his original jerk mode.
"Sure," Rosina agreed. "It's much better than being strangers bound by a contract."
"Chocolate milk is my hero."
