Yarin's POV:

"Of course, it's him, my lord," Karter said reluctantly. "This ugly dwarf was called Anthony. He was lucky to be the first to meet your descendant and sacrificed his life to complete the final step of the sacrifice."

"So what reward does he want?" Azazel asked softly, but he did not need an answer. "I understand. Since he is my loyal subject, I am responsible for fulfilling his wish."

The black fog emerged soundlessly and enveloped the dwarf's corpse.

This time, the black fog lasted much longer than Karter's. It lasted so long that Karter began to gnash his teeth and stare at the corpse of his former companion as if he wanted to bite him into pieces and swallow him. The black fog continued to expand, and soon, it was impossible to see what was inside.
