The death mode and random mode gave many players a whole new gaming experience, and many old players who had lost some of their challenges in Dark Souls gained new fun in the game.

In the death mode, the boss's abilities, including AI, were all enhanced. In a sense, the boss in this mode was even smarter than the average player. It even knew how to attack in advance, roll to avoid the player's spells, and so on.

In the entire process, the players not only had to be extremely familiar with the boss's skills, but they also had to have some advanced PVP combat knowledge. They also had to have zero mistakes and a little bit of luck to pass.

Of course, the inevitable result was that only a handful of top-tier players would be able to clear death mode and leave their names on the Firelink sacrificial grounds.
