Bab 39: Chapter 38: Mael vs Graylia 1
(3rd Person's POV)
Graylia was flying towards the enemy borderline along with her subordinates when her instincts began to ring as she immediately made a barrier and blocked several light daggers.
However, her subordinates weren't lucky or she should say strong enough to block the upcoming attack as their defensive magic was not strong enough to block such a strong light attack.
Graylia didn't pay much attention to her subordinates; instead, she put her focus on the angel holding a bow.
"What the…?"
She fell into confusion as the angel was a little odd. He had four wings and was wearing a helmet but she could see an unusual halo on his head in addition to a horn.
More than that, she immediately recalled the name of the sword that the angel turned back from the bow, it was the legendary sword of Heaven called Excalibur!
He was indeed the perpetrator behind the disappearance of four devil cities.
Graylia wanted to immediately jump to attack the angel but then she heard a very unusual name from the angel's mouth.
"Grayfia?"
'What?! How does he know my daughter?'
"You angel! Tell me, how the hell you know the name of my daughter?!"
The angel landed on the surface and answered nonchalantly, "Wait, so she is your daughter? No wonder you look the same! Well, I wanted to make her my maid but too bad, your filthy race is going to perish~."
"Oh really?!" Graylia gritted her teeth and unleashed her full demonic power. If the angel has information then he is a serious threat who shall be eliminated as soon as possible.
Silver flare surged from her body and her sword began shining with a similar color.
Leaving debris behind her foot, she then disappeared only for the ground to shatter as two powerful swords clashed with each other.
Boom!
"Khh!" Mael gritted his teeth because the strength of the devil this time was several times higher than anyone he has ever faced.
He immediately concluded the strength of the devil, she was a high-level ultimate class devil.
Her strength could be rivaled that of Gabriel as Mael's feet began to push back as the devil put more and more force on her sword.
"Listen, angel, my name is Graylia Lucifuge, 2ndin command under our Glorious Demon Kings, especially Demon King Lucifer Morningstar!" Grayfia spoke and then jab a solid kick to Mael's face.
The kick was so strong that Mael flew several meters away, even destroying a giant rock.
'Holy crap the kick was strong… Ahh…' Mael scratched his head and he realized that the devil he was facing currently was on a whole different level.
There were whole two levels difference between them!
He then started to heal himself when he heard the devil walking towards him slowly. He didn't pay much attention to such a strong being heading towards him since he knew one characteristic that every strong devil shares in their first battle.
"And here I was expecting a good fight from a strong angel. I guess you sissy bastards are all same." Graylia came with a smug face and watched angel healing himself.
She didn't even pay much attention to Mael's unusual healing ability.
That's right, one characteristic that all devils share, it was their arrogance followed by ignorance.
"Heh. Graylia, huh? I will call you with that name for the time being and I shall tell you my name too." Mael didn't panic and calmly stood and rubbed the dirt from his armor.
"My name is Mael, the super handsome angel of beauty and prince of heaven!"
Who is this narcissist!?
But before buxom devil could argue, her senses began to scream again as the angel who was standing a few meters away, appeared right in front of Graylia with his hand glowing with intense holy power.
"But for you, I am grim reaper who will cleanse this world from infestation like you filths. ORA!"
Before Graylia could react, Mael delivered a solid punch on the devil's stomach with so much brute force that rocks behind her shattered away.
"Khuah!" Graylia spat a mouthful of liquid since the punch was strong enough to kill the fully equipped ultimate class devil but thanks to her holy light immune armor, she negated some force.
However, the angle had other plans as he didn't stop and then a kick landed on her face.
Boom!
Now it was her turn to collide with rocks while flying several meters away.
"Hehe, that was refreshing." Mael chuckled and prepared himself to kill the enemy general since she was much stronger than him so any delay would be fatal for the new seraph.
He rushed towards the ruins where Graylia crashed but before he could reach the target place, the designation was blown away.
Boom!
"What the?!" Mael gritted his teeth as the enemy had transformed herself into a new level!
In front of him, the devil was flaring with a silver demonic aura, her eyes were glowing silver and her sword was radiating rapidly so much that it couldn't be called a sword at the moment but pure demonic energy of Lucifuge household.
"Angel! I have recognized you as a worthy opponent! Now ready to face the might of the Lucifuge clan!"
"Ah, crap baskets!"
Before Mael could take a step forward or think about anything, he was again kicked by Graylia and landed in the same place as before.
It was then Mael realized how much a power difference there was between them. No, Graylia touching the realm of Super Devil, at the moment!

"I have to aid Mael. This doesn't look good!" Gabriel muttered and was about to head out after watching the kind of opponent Mael was facing when someone blocked the gate.
"Gabriel, I know you truly care for him but it is not the time to help him." It was Archangel Michael.
"Michael, I know but he will get himself killed at this moment!"
Gabriel knew that God had ordered every seraph to not aid Mael for the time being since Mael was still immature and stubborn to point that he could fall from grace but she can't just sit and watch Mael getting beaten by such a powerful devil.
"Gabriel, I also want to go and help him but think about it for a moment and cast aside your emotion, it was our lord's order."
Certainly, there must be a meaning behind his action since ONE had the greatest Clairvoyance among all supernatural beings of this universe.
And most of all, Gabriel knew how much ONE loves his children (humans), especially Mael who is half-human.
Gabriel then decided to stay and observe the fight.
'Mael, I pray for your safety, please come back safe.' A tear left from the angel's eyes as she prayed for whom she developed feelings different from familial love.
