Chapter 1// The Emanator of Nihility is lost once again
He woke up with no memories he could call his own except a name that he could remember and memories of someone that looked similar to him. His name was Raiden Sho, and an alias that was advised to protect his true name, Acheron.
The one in his memory used the same name in placeholder of her real name.
He woke up in a desolate wasteland. Only the sword named Naught was present as it soon faded away into motes of light by instinct. The memories of combat and the one named Mei soon surged full force into his head. It didn't help much in finding his own identity and memory but it would definitely help him survive.
He dusted off his clothes as he took off the furisode sleeved coat to shake it off. He slightly loosened the purple tie adorned with a small amethyst crystal, his black shirt was spotless as he started walking in the direction of the nearest city.
The coat seemed to have small defensive and cleaning properties as the dust was cleaned off soon enough leaving it spotless once again.
The city seemed to be in a complete disrepair as fires broke loose in various places. Eventually Raiden seemed to have realised that he was lost. A curse past down from his predecessor he supposed.
The only positive thing was that he found himself in a farm. He wouldn't mind staying here for a while to go over the events of today.
However on the farm it was a strange sight, despite lacking in memories of his own he distinctively knew what they were.
"Zombies?" He even raised his fringe to expose his other eye to make sure he wasn't seeing it wrong. They soon turned to storm at him, a whole hoard charging over. All the workers at the farm seemed to have met the same fate.
Naught soon appeared in a flash of light as the sheath of the blade struck many times. Each strike imbued with the power of nihility tore space as they collapsed like puppets. Lighting flickered as the zombies surrounded him. The powerful currents completely charred them rendering them immobile as the sheath took their undead lives.
It was a walk in the park for Raiden as he soon moved to inspect the crops. Food was tasteless, he soon realised that he had gained incredible power with cost. He couldn't taste much, however his saving grace came in the form of peaches from the memory of Mei.
Peaches still produced the subtle sweet flavour that the memories had shown him.
He soon cleaned up the house after a while. It seems he was just as good as house chores as fighting. The lights soon came up after he jabbed Naught infused with lighting to the generator. Raiden finally had a place he could call home for a while.
Tomorrow he would head into the city to see if he could see there were any survivors that could. explain to him what was going on. But for now he slept to the sound of raindrops falling.

The sun soon rose and so did a pair of violet diamond pupil eyes. Today he would set off to search for survivors. He unsheathed the sword slightly as the technique ingrained into him, White, was activated. He soon became unnoticeable as he walked throughout the city. Although he did get lost a few times and ended up back in the same spot. It was fine as soon he encountered a group of survivors. They were all girls with a single boy leading ahead. They seemed to be weary and tired, he could clearly tell by the looks on their faces. He slowly approached before deciding to wait until they rested at a small convenience store that was empty.
He sheathed the sword as it disappeared into motes of light. The group soon noticed him as they yelped and weapons were drawn at him. Raiden made no move to confront them and only asked "May I ask, where am I and what is going on?
The group remained vigilant before the presumed teacher asked "Who are you and how did you get here?! How long were you following us?" Raiden stared blankly, "I was with you the entire time as I was searching for survivors, I got lost a few times so I followed you to where we are now. As for who I am, you can call me Acheron."
The group remained clearly wary but one more person asked the question the others were thinking of. "How are you still sane? The sun should have caused all the men to go insane and become beasts."
Raiden looked even more confused as it showed visibly on his face. "I'm not from here so I wouldn't know what is happening nor would I have been affected by whatever happened here."
Instantly one of the girls lit up and asked "Are you from another world and was reborn here?" Raiden's eyebrows furrowed as he thought about it for a bit "From another world yes, reborn no. As far as I'm aware I likely got lost in the dimensional gap and arrived here. Either way the universe is a dangerous place."
They seemed to have realised the implications of what he said. "Wait so you are have abilities?" Raiden nodded "Yes I have what you'd consider supernatural abilities. Most pathstriders all have abilities to some extent."
The male of the group stood up and asked "We need proof, I know me coming from another world after death seems outrageous but we need proof that you are who you are."
Raiden sighed and lifted a finger as sparks of lightning appeared around his body. "I suppose this is enough?" The others seemed to be happy that another capable person was around. Raiden thought about it for a while before realising that this world was hopeless. Civilisation was doomed. it'd be better to get rid of the entire city and let them sustain themselves on the farm on the outskirts.
"Am I right to assume that this city is completely overrun?" The group nodded as Raiden stood up, "Come on I'll take you guys to the farm on the outskirts. You'll be safe there, as for this city. I'll get rid of it, there's no more hope left here. You are better staying safe in the farm.
I'll lead their souls to depart to the afterlife.
The group soon made their way out of the city and near the farm. Raiden looked at them before emphasizing "Stay here, or you'll get caught up in the shock wave."
In a flash Raiden arrived in the entrance to the city as the Horizon of Existence overlapped with reality. Naught was unsheathed as his purple hair faded to white and his pupils scarlet red. A few red flowers adorned his clothes and one on his tie.
"I wish to mourn the departed, weeping like rain, to swell the crossing stream. As the tide arrives, leading you back home."
In an instant Naught cleaved through space and time as the entire city soon vanished leaving only sparks of red lightning in the surrounding area.
As for Raiden, his wandering here was done.
